The New York Knicks' 2019-20 season is over. While the franchise is currently focused on its coaching search, that focus will soon change to the 2020 NBA Draft and the ensuing free agency, expected to take place only three days after the aforementioned in mid-October.

In a new mailbag, SNY's Ian Begley says the Knicks will be eyeing a big man who can shoot in free agency, with a Danilo Gallinari reunion possibly on the table. Gallo is putting up 19.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game with the Oklahoma City Thunder a year after posting a career year with the Los Angeles Clippers. The Italian stretch 4 started his career in New York before going to the Denver Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony trade.

Davis Bertans is another stretch 4 to monitor, though it could be difficult to get him. Bertans will be looking to cash in on a career-best season in 2019-20, but the Washington Wizards have been very vocal about their intent to re-sign him. If the Knicks get into that race, they will have to pay a pretty penny to pry him from the Wizards' hands.

New York reportedly loves Christian Wood as well, and Begley tossed Anthony's name into the ring once again. The Knicks looked to potentially link up with Melo this past offseason, but that plan failed to come to fruition once they struck out on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. That doesn't mean a Melo reunion in 2020 isn't possible.

Then, of course, there's Anthony Davis. The Knicks will bid on Davis if he decides to test the free-agent market. His agent, Rich Paul, was outspoken that he would do so regardless of this season's outcome — looking to get the best pay available. New York can't offer more than what the Los Angeles Lakers can, but the franchise could pounce on the chance things go haywire in L.A. Remember, the Knicks were one of the other teams on Davis' trade list.
