Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant were both killed in the tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, they were on their way to a basketball game when the helicopter crashed. There was also another player and parent on the helicopter. However, none of the occupants of the helicopter survived the crash.

Gigi was 13 years old and attended Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, California. Bryant was a mentor and a coach for his daughter Gigi. Bryant married wife Vanessa Bryant in 2001 and the couple had four children.




According to TMZ, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Bryant retired in 2016 from the NBA after 20 seasons with the Lakers. He finished his legendary career with 5 NBA championships and 2x Finals MVP.
L.A. fire officials are scheduled to hold a press conference on the helicopter crash at 2 PM PST. More to come.
