The Los Angeles Lakers‘ 2021-22 NBA season has gotten off to a rough start, and midway through their second game, it isn't getting any easier. During the Lakers' second game against the Phoenix Suns, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard were seen getting into a heated exchange on the bench during a timeout.

The two had to be separated by Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, LeBron James, and the rest of their teammates. Prior to the altercation, AD was seen trying to get Dwight's attention as they headed back to the bench. But Dwight was either ignoring him or didn't hear him, which led to the testy tussle between the two big men.

Through two quarters, the purple and gold have had a very frustrating game. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook picked up three personal fouls while Davis had two fouls. Frustrations with the officials, some of it justified, mixed with the Suns ball movement, had the Lakers flustered.

Phoenix finished the first half outscoring Los Angeles 30-6 in the paint.

The Lakers went into halftime trailing the Suns 57-44. To that point, Anthony Davis had four points, four rebounds, and a steal while Dwight Howard played nine scoreless minutes, accumulating three rebounds and two steals.
