Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis will play in Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets despite his ankle injury.

The Lakers are one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010. Having Anthony Davis in the lineup alongside LeBron James in Game 5 against the Nuggets will certainly help Los Angeles accomplish its goal, especially since Denver isn't going to go out without a fight.

Davis has been a monster for the Lakers in the 2020 playoffs at Walt Disney World. The Chicago native is averaging 28.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 57.6 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 79.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Even though Davis is playing in Game 5, he's not going to be 100 percent since he sprained his ankle pretty badly in Game 4. With that being said, this is the perfect game for James to show he's still the best player in the NBA by having one of his signature postseason performances.

The Nuggets have erased two 3-1 series deficits in the 2020 playoffs. The Lakers must avoid the same mistake the Uta Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers made and keep their foot on the gas pedal until the series is over.
