The Los Angeles Lakers were thrashed by the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, losing 133-96. In the loss, the Lakers allowed Denver to shoot 52 percent from the field and hit 23 three-pointers. Former NBA player Channing Frye, while on NBA TV, destroyed the Lakers and their lack of defense.

“It's hard to be that bad. They should've been beat by 50. So undisciplined, double teaming for no reason, not rotating, guys not communicating… I've seen some bad basketball, this is probably one of the worst game I've seen from a team that has good players on it.”

Frye did not hold back on his thoughts of the lack of effort and execution on the defensive side of the ball.

The Lakers are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. They have allowed 127, 125 and 133 points respectively. One of those losses came against the lowly Sacramento Kings. The losing streak has dropped Los Angeles' record to a game under .500 at 21-22.

The Lakers are currently 7th in the western conference. But it is a jumble of teams from the fifth-seeded Dallas Mavericks down to the 10th seed, Portland Trail Blazers.

The Lakers play has drawn the ire from fans and public figures alike. Lakers great, Magic Johnson, even chimed in on the team's poor play of late.

The Lakers acquired point guard Russell Westbrook with the hopes of creating a “Big 3” with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, Davis has been in and out of the lineup for much of the season, hurting the team's chances for continuity.

The Lakers are back home Monday night against the Utah Jazz.
