FOX Sports talk-show host Colin Cowherd is not exactly a big fan of New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis, and on Wednesday, he listed all of the reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers should not trade for the big man:

Cowherd cites Davis' inability to make the playoffs alongside of DeMarcus Cousins in 2017, Davis' penchant toward getting injury and the fact that Davis scores most of his points around the basket as warning signs for the Lakers.

I'm not exactly sure what “dilemma” Cowherd expected Davis to solve at any point in his career in the fourth point he mentioned, but everything else Cowherd stated was at least rooted in fact.

Is he right? Probably not, although Davis is an injury risk, which is something that could potentially shave a bit of the top off of what other teams will offer the Pelicans for Davis.

However, Davis is so good and so special that other clubs may look past Davis' checkered injury history and give up the farm anyway.

Plus, it's not like Davis has ever had any severe injuries. He has just had a lot of nicks and bruises throughout his career that have not been limited to any point part of his body.

The 25-year-old entered the league with New Orleans back in 2012, and since then, Davis has been to the playoffs just twice, losing to the Golden State Warriors in the first round in 2015 and falling to the Warriors in the second round last year.

Still, he remains one of the NBA's top players, so I don't think the Lakers are going to be sweating it if they give up Brandon Ingram to get him.
