Danny Green has thanked the Los Angeles Lakers, the city, and it's fanbase for showing him love.

Green, who was traded from the Lakers in November, posted his thank you message on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Thank you to my Lakers family, the city of LA, and Lakers fans everywhere for welcoming me to your city and your team. We had one job and we made it happen. I’ll never forget my time as part of the #Lakeshow and I have all of you to thank for it. Special shoutout to my teammates and coaching staff for an unforgettable season … On to the next chapter. #unapologetically3X”

Green also thanked Spectrum Sports Net for its partnership on his Instagram show, Inside Green Room.

The 33-year old was traded twice in a week during the condensed offseason. First, he was dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with the 28th pick in the 2020 draft for point guard Dennis Schroder. Later that week, Green, Terrance Ferguson, and Vincent Poirier. were shipped to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Al Horford, a protected 2025 first-round pick, a 2020 second-round pick, and the rights to Vasilije Micic.

Green, 33, started all 89 games (including playoffs) in his one season in L.A. in 2019-20, which ended in the franchise's 17th NBA Championship in the bubble. He averaged 8.0 points per game during the season and the playoffs, and shot 36.7% three-point shooting in the regular season. In the playoffs, he shot 33.9% from downtown.

The Lakers title was Green's third ring with his third different organization — a historically rare NBA feat. Green was a key part of the San Antonio Spurs championship squad of 2013-14, and the Toronto Raptors title-winning team of 2018-19.

Now, he'll aim to provide his complementary 3-and-D skill set and playoff experience to the 76ers.
