Following Avery Bradley's decision to opt-out of rejoining the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA bubble in Orlando, the team had to wait patiently for Dwight Howard's decision on whether he'd be rejoining the team for their playoff run.

After weeks of speculation and doubt, Howard officially let be known that he indeed would be headed back to where his NBA career began for the next few months to help the Lakers win a title. This decision sparked reactions from his teammates, including veteran Danny Green who spoke to the media through a Zoom call on Tuesday.

“I think everybody knows what kind of presence he's been for us,” Green said of Howard. “He's obviously a key piece. Everyone is a key piece for our team. Took a hit when Avery [Bradley] opted out, but we have a lot of good pieces. We have a lot of experience.

“Dwight has been a good spark for us off the bench. Paint protector that has actually changed a lot of games for us…I'm glad he's with us. I'm he's onboard. I'm excited to have my guys back again in the bubble.”

With Dwight back in the fold, the Lakers can breathe a little easier as they don't have to make another move to fill a void left on their roster. The team recently signed veteran sharpshooter JR Smith after Bradley's decision became official, helping bolster the backcourt ahead of the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season in Florida.

Unless another player has a change of heart or circumstances that may complicate their situation, the Lakers know which 17 players they'll be bringing to the NBA bubble. Scrimmage games will get underway on July 22, followed by the eight seeding games, which will begin on July 30 with the Lakers taking on Kawhi Leonard's L.A. Clippers.
