LeBron James is one of the greatest players in the history of the game. But if he wants to win over Lakers fans he's going to need to prove it in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, former Laker Devean George believes a statue for James won't even be a consideration until he brings at least three championships to Los Angeles.

“I think one [championship], I think it would be no consideration. Two, probably no consideration. Three, I think they might be like, ‘Should we talk about it??'”

This might sound like unreasonably high standards but the Lakers are a different animal entirely. Receiving a statue is the highest praise from an organization and is only done for the immortals. Of course, James is immortal as a Cleveland Cavalier and a member of the Miami Heat, but he'll have to prove it in Los Angeles.

James' first championship in LA could be the toughest of his entire career. The Golden State Warriors looked invincible last season and will add DeMarcus Cousins to a starting lineup that features four All-Stars, two MVPs, and a Defensive Player of the Year. They can do it all. They have shooters, slashers, defense, rebounding, multiple ballhandlers and a strong bench to boot.

James and the Lakers have their work cut out for them, but if there's one thing we've learned over the years, never count LeBron out. This is the same player that led his team back from down 3-1 to beat the best regular season team of all-time. He may have more magic up his sleeve.
