Just in case you haven't heard, the Los Angeles Lakers are out of the NBA Playoffs. For the die-hard fans of the Purple & Gold, saying it out loud helps: THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS ARE OUT OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS!

One of the biggest questions, obviously—aside from HOW ARE THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS OUT OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS?—is what happens now to coach Frank Vogel? In the latter part of the season, whispers grew loud—as loud as THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS ARE OUT OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS!—that he is on his way out. Now, that seems to be inevitable.

Still, Vogel, who has amassed a 125-97 (.563) record in his three seasons with the Lakers, WHO ARE OUT OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS!, didn't want to speculate on his tenure, although he admitted that he was in a tight spot since joining the team. This comes per the report of The Athletic's Bill Oram:

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. It’s been a win-now job for each of the three years I’ve been here.”

Vogel led the Lakers to the NBA title in his first season with the club but the wins decreased in each of his three campaigns. Some camps feel that the 48-year-old drillmaster was dealt a bad hand this season with an old and unbalanced roster. Other observers, however, believe that Vogel still could've done more, the squad's revolving door of injured players notwithstanding.

It's worth noting that LeBron James has remained relatively silent about Vogel in recent weeks, and his passive-aggressive approach isn't exactly a secret.

For now, we can debate all we want about Vogel's future and who's to blame for their unlikely demise. But what's clear is this: THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS ARE OUT OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS!
