Isaiah Thomas hilariously showed support for his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, posting a today-back-then photo of him alongside LeBron James and J.R. Smith from earlier this season.

Thomas was on the shelf for most of his stint in Cleveland, still recovering from an offseason hip surgery that ended his 2016-17 campaign with the Boston Celtics before being traded to the Cavs for All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving.

The 5-foot-9 point man would be traded after making 14 starts in 15 appearances with the team at the trade deadline, landing with the Los Angeles Lakers as the Cavs received Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. in return.

Neither of the trades worked out for the Cavs, as they deeply need another ball-handler to share the offensive load with James, while Clarkson and Nance are both averaging under five points per game in shades under 15 minutes per game.

Thomas got some mixed reviews for his Instagram post, with some suggesting he's hoping to be in good graces to receive a championship ring, while others commended him in his playful approach, falling well short of the postseason with the Lakers this year.
