In what will probably go down as one of the most perplexing unsolved mysteries of all time, LeBron James just unblocked his new teammate, Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee, after banishing him from his Instagram world almost five years ago.
But what really happened between these two?
TMZ Sports recently tried to do some digging and caught up with McGee in LAX to know the backstory, straight from the horse’s mouth. This is what he had to say.
Apparently, not even JaVale knows what caused all this and he’s just as clueless as we are. What we do know, though, is that he was playing for the Denver Nuggets at that time while The King was all the way in South Beach, leading the Miami Heat to back-to-back championships.
Still, all this seems to be water under the bridge, at least for now, as these two athletic freaks will look to propel the Lakers back to relevance. Winning it all is no longer an impossible thing for the Purple and Gold, especially after a solid offseason, yet a lot of work still needs to be done.
What is going for the Lakers, though, is that James, McGee, and company seem to all be on the same page. Hopefully, this escapade is firmly behind them and the only blocking happens will be on the hardwood against opponents.
