Los Angeles Lakers guard JR Smith recently said Sam Dekker is the only teammate he has ever hated during his NBA career since he's allegedly a Donald Trump supporter and a racist.

Dekker's wife, Olivia Harlan Dekker, responded to an article about Smith's comment's claiming they were “extremely inaccurate and unfair.”

In typical JR fashion, the Lakers vet fired right back:

She continued to defend her husband, but JR wasn't having it:

JR Smith and Sam Dekker were teammates for only a few weeks during the 2018-19 season on the Cleveland Cavaliers. After he got hurt, Dekker was traded to the Washington Wizards, while Smith was exiled from the Cavs and only played in 11 games that season.

Dekker is currently out of the NBA, as he didn't get a job during the 2019-20 season after playing for the Wizards. He has career NBA averages of 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Cavs and Wizards.

Smith, meanwhile, won his second NBA title after the Lakers defeated the Miami Heat in the 2020 Finals at Walt Disney World. JR didn't play that much against the Heat, but that didn't stop him from going crazy during the Lakers' celebration.

Since no one knows when the 2020-21 NBA season is going to start, little dramas like this one between Smith and Dekker's wife are all that we have right now to discuss. Thus far, Dekker himself hasn't responded to Smith.
