Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant may be a five-time NBA champion, but that is not the “most cherished” accomplishment he had, according to Vanessa Bryant.

As she delivered the Hall of Fame speech for her late husband, Vanessa opened up about how becoming the “very best girl dad” was in fact the most important thing for Kobe throughout his career as an athlete.

Who's cutting onions here?

Kobe Bryant's love for her daughters is well known and well-documented, as he has never shied away from expressing it despite a lot of people hoping he would have a boy who could continue his legacy in the NBA. Simply put, it never really matter as he was proud of all his daughters.

The term and hashtag #GirlDad went viral last year after his tragic death. Elle Duncan of ESPN shared the story on how the Lakers icon said to her that he would have “five more girls” if he could before proudly declaring that he is a “girl dad.”

Kobe had four daughters with Vanessa, namely Natalia, Gianna, Capri and Bianka. Unfortunately, Gigi passed away together with her dad in the painful helicopter crash that also took the lives of seven others.

Aside from being a five-time champion, Bryant is an 18-time All-Star, two-time Finals MVP and one-time NBA MVP. Even with all that accomplishments, nothing could beat his accomplishment as a father and raising incredible daughters along with his wife.
