For as much as the late Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest to ever play basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers icon was just as shrewd off the court.

The Lakers star's most financially lucrative investment was his decision to purchase a stake in the sports drink BodyArmor. Bryant acquired a 10% stake for just $6 million in the company way back in 2014. According to the latest report from Joe Pompliano, his investment is now worth nearly a billion dollars.

That incredible gain looks even more impressive juxtaposed with Kobe Bryant's career NBA earnings. In his 20 seasons playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant made roughly $320 million or around $16 million per season. His BodyArmor stake now two and a half times more than that in less than half the time.

Kobe Bryant just knows how to use his Mamba Mentality for success in any field. The Lakers star famously won an Oscar award for Best Animated Short back in 2018 for his heartfelt flick “Dear Basketball”.

He's also worked just as hard to give back to the fans that have been behind him throughout his entire career. Bryant was able to grant over a hundred Make-A-Wish requests despite his busy schedule. Kobe also extended a helping hand to the man who took the Lakers torch from him in LeBron James, making a generous donation to King James' I Promise School.

Even without him here with us today, Kobe Bryant still finds ways to win, whether through the players on the court, or his impact off of it.
