Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is known for his drive and hunger for glory. However, not everyone had the same determination he had.

Players were less intense than he was when he left the league. The same thing was apparently true when he entered the league.

In a revealing interview with Patrick Bet-David, the former Lakers superstar claimed that most of the players he played with and against during his early days in the NBA had a different focus:

“In the NBA, it was actually easier. What I found in the NBA is a lot of guys played for financial stability. When they came in the NBA, they got that financial stability. Therefore the passion and the work ethic and the obsessiveness was gone. I'm looking at that and I was like, ‘Oh my God, it's like taking candy from a baby. No wonder Mike wins all these f—ing championships,” Kobe explained.

What Kobe Bryant said wasn't a lie. After all, there were plenty of guys who said that Kobe's drive to improve was unlike any other they have seen. However, is it Kobe who finds them lacking in passion? Or is it the Lakers legend who is completely obsessed with the sport?

No matter what the answer is, one thing is for sure. Kobe is one of the best players to ever pick up the rock and his legacy as one of the greatest is cemented in history.
