The Los Angeles Lakers have undoubtedly been one of the more promising, young teams in the 2017-18 NBA season. At the forefront of their success has been power forward Kyle Kuzma.

Kuzma has long established himself as one of the best players out of the 2017-18 NBA Draft. He added to his stellar campaign with yet another historic feat in the Lakers' 122-112 overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night, per ESPN:

“Kuzma is the first rookie in NBA history with 1,200 points, 450 rebounds and 150 3-pointers in a season.”

Kuzma has registered his fair share of historic accolades. The 27th overall pick in the draft burst onto the scene after a spectacular performance at the Las Vegas Summer League last year. Needless to say, he has followed up on the hype all year long by firmly becoming the biggest steal in the draft.

Accomplishments such as this one are a reflection of Kuzma's versatile skill set. Just as the NBA began to transition to a new age of athletic big man, the rookie has become the latest prototype for a stretch forward. It became evident early on that Kuzma was able to cash in from deep. However, he managed to show off his scoring prowess with a tremendous offensive repertoire.

His 16.1 points per game is currently second among all rookies. Furthermore, he has managed to hit his 154 long distance shots at an efficient 36.4 percent. That said, it is safe to assume the general managers across the league are still losing sleep over the fact that he was skipped over 26 times in last year's draft.
