Kyle Kuzma got up close and personal with LeBron James in their three seasons together on the Los Angeles Lakers. The man knows what greatness is supposed to look like. When the former Lakers forward compares newest teammate Bradley Beal to King James, you know there's some semblance of truth to it. The first year Wizard revealed how he's slowly come to realize Big Panda is cut from the same star cloth.

Via Andrew Gillis of NBC Sports Washington on the former Lakers role player adjusting to his new star with the Wizards:

“Obviously when you’ve got a guy that scores 30 points every night, from the outside looking in, you’re thinking he’s not really a willing passer,” Kuzma said. “He makes the right play and that’s really important for winning basketball.

“I see it all the time, especially playing with LeBron and AD,” Kuzma said comparing Beal to his ex-Lakers teammates. “If they wanted to they could come down the court and score every single time if they wanted to. But understanding your teammates and whatever the right play is in front of you, that’s the most important thing. And he does that.”

Beal averages a respectable four assists per game. Given the fact he played with pure passer John Wall and constant assist leader Russell Westbrook before getting traded to the Lakers himself, Beal hasn't had as much opportunity to showcase his playmaking skills.

In his only season playing without Wall in 2018-19, Bradley Beal averaged a career-high 6.1 assists per game while also scoring over 30 points a contest. Kyle Kuzma may be calling forth another big assist year from Beal before it happens.
