Los Angeles Lakers stud Kyle Kuzma channeled his inner Kyrie Irving on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. After this slick finish, it wouldn't be surprising if Kuz gets an invite to next year's All-Star Skills Challenge.

Following an outlet pass from Lakers teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kuzma had two more Blazers defenders to clear before getting to the basket. So he did exactly that in tremendous fashion:

Kuzma did not only bust out a Kyrie-like behind-the-back dribble to lose the first defender, but he also decided to Euro step his way to the rim. The Lakers forward knew he had to evade the challenge of Anfernee Simons, who had positioned himself well to take the offensive charge.

Here's another angle of Kuzma's ball-handling genius:

A lot was at stake for the Lakers in this one as they continue to fight for positioning in what has become an extremely tight race in out West. They entered Friday's tilt tied with the Blazers for the seventh spot. LA will need to stack up a few more wins as the regular season winds down in order to secure their spot for the postseason. If they fall to the seventh or eighth spot, then they'll have to take part in the hotly-contested playoffs play-in tournament.
