The Los Angeles Lakers have been among the teams that have contacted the Detroit Pistons about shooting guard Reggie Bullock, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.

Reggie Bullock is making $2.5 million this campaign and will become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

According to Ganguli, the Pistons have not been interested in moving Bullock for the offers they have received thus far. The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 7.

In 40 games this season for the Pistons, Bullock is averaging 11.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. The 27-year-old is shooting 40.3 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 86.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers need all the shooting they can get right now, as they are 27th in the league in 3-point shooting. Los Angeles is also trying to trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis, who requested a trade this week.

The Pistons have underachieved this season and could be sellers at the trade deadline. Losing Bullock for nothing in free agency wouldn't be efficient for Detroit, so they might as well see what they can get for the guard at the trade deadline.

The Lakers are 27-25 on the season. They are currently out of the playoff picture in the Western Conference.
