It did not take LeBron James long to turn heads with his scoring prowess. In the first game of the 2023-24 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers forward managed to score 10 points in the first half, which isn't exactly a mind-blowing feat until you realize that the four-time league Most Valuable Player has now scored at least that many points in 1,152 games in a row.

LeBron James went 5-for-9 from the field for 10 points in the first half of Tuesday night's game versus Nikola Jokic and the reigning NBA champions Denver Nuggets on the road. At 38 years old, James can still be pretty unstoppable on the floor, as he continues to use his incredible blend of size, mobility, and athleticism to make buckets — at an efficient rate.

At this point in his career, LeBron James shouldn't be playing the way he is. Other stars of his age in the past either retired from the league or were buried on the bench, but not James, who still looks as though he can still play for multiple seasons more.

Already the all-time scoring leader in the NBA and a four-time NBA champion, there's really nothing left for James to prove, but the love for the game is still there. That's not to mention that he is still viewed as a major piece of the Lakers, who are expected to be among the chief contenders for the NBA title in the 2023-24 NBA season.

LeBron James entered the Nuggets game with a career average of 27.2 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor.
