LeBron James is used to playing defense on the court for the Los Angeles Lakers and he had to do the same off of the court in recent months. After months of a case involving James using a copyrighted photo, the superstar forward has agreed to a settlement, per Darren Heitner of Heitner Legal.

Back in March of last year, James posted a photo of one of his dunks over Meyers Leonard of the Miami Heat on his Facebook page. James cropped the photo and Steve Mitchell — the person who took the photo — didn't give James permission to use it on his social media.

Mitchell filed a federal complaint on James, claiming that James took part in copyright infringement by using his photo. While there has been a settlement reached between both sides, it remains to be seen how much the settlement is worth and what the details of the settlement are.

Besides the copyright settlement, James was also involved in an in-game incident that saw multiple fans of the Atlanta Hawks heckling him. The NBA and the Hawks are investigating the situation to see what was said between James and the fans.

Throughout his remarkable career, LeBron James has never been involved in any legal drama or anything that would put his career in jeopardy. While his latest copyright situation isn't going to be a blemish on the Lakers star's image, it's safe to say that James will be extra careful with his social media posts moving forward.
