The NBPA Board of Representatives has voted to approve a plan for a December 22nd start to the 2020-21 NBA season, and it doesn't appear Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James is happy about it.

The NBA is now scheduled to have the shortest offseason in sports history. James took to social media to react to the stat once he saw it on TV.

The 2020-21 NBA season will feature 72 regular-season games. LeBron James and the Lakers, who won the 2020 NBA Finals over the Miami Heat in six games at Walt Disney World, will likely play on Christmas Day since LeBron is the face of the league and the Purple and Gold are the reigning champions.

Lakers veteran guard Danny Green recently said he expects James to sit out a bunch of games to begin the 2020-21 season since it's a short offseason, LeBron has a ton of miles on his body and will turn 36 on Dec. 30.

The King is somehow beating Father Time, but this limited offseason is going to be a huge challenge for the older players in the league.

James, who is the only player in NBA history to win three Finals MVP awards with three different teams, averaged 29.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game in the Finals against the Heat while shooting 59.1 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from beyond the arc and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.
