Heading into the game against the Mavericks, LeBron was dealing with an ankle injury he suffered on opening night against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, James made it clear that he was looking forward to putting on a show for fans on Christmas.

While James didn't produce gaudy numbers, he still managed to record 22 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists to help the Lakers defeat the Mavericks 138-115. During the game, his fadeaway over Doncic was one of the highlights that makes you appreciate what James is doing at 35 years old.

In his 18th season in the NBA, LeBron is proving that he's still arguably the most well-rounded player in the league. James, who turns 36 on December 30, is still contributing at both ends of the floor for the Lakers.

Ever since Doncic has entered the NBA, it's been well-known that he's an avid fan of LeBron and he tries to model his game after the four-time NBA champion. The respect is mutual as it was revealed that James attempted to lure Doncic to the Nike brand before the young forward joined Jordan.

Over the years, we've seen LeBron make some incredible shots at different moments in the game. Even though his shot over Doncic wasn't in the clutch, his fadeaway reminded James of Jackson, who was known for his smooth footwork.
