Fresh off their win against the defending champion Golden State Warriors in their preseason contest on Wednesday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was recently singing praises for his new teammates.

According to the 33-year-old, coincidence has very little to do with why his teammates are currently on the Lakers roster with him.

This goes to show just how much confidence LeBron has in his new teammates. The Lakers were practically revamped over the course of the past year, and it appears that the team's newest cornerstone superstar is more than happy with the group of guys he is set to go to battle with.

There are some who consider the new-look Lakers to be a band of unwanted misfits. Teasingly labeled as “The Meme Team,” the quartet of Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, and Michael Beasley — all of whom were signed by the team over the summer — are viewed by some as an eccentric group of players that should not be taken seriously. For his part, LeBron James obviously could not disagree more.

According to James, other guys like Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart — who were already part of the Lakers even prior to the arrival of James — are all unquestionably worthy of a spot on the team. While they may lack the necessary experience, LeBron believes that they will still play key roles in the team's quest for success this season and in succeeding years.
