The Los Angeles Lakers' young core of Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart are quickly rising to stardom. With this fame comes endorsement deals, commercials, and shoe contracts. The newest deal is for Kyle Kuzma, as the young star and sneaker retailer GOAT just reached an agreement:

New Laker LeBron James was excited to see his teammate sign one of his first deals:

This is a big step for Kuzma, who will be entering his sophomore season. The retailer will be providing Nike shoes for the forward to wear throughout the regular season, and since he doesn't have an official contract with Nike, he is free to wear any other brand he chooses to during games. This is a big deal for NBA players since a contract with any big brand limits their choices to just that specific brand.

Kuzma is coming off an excellent rookie season in which he surpassed expectations quickly as a late first-round pick. HeĀ posted averages of 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 45 percentĀ from the floor and 37 percent from downtown. He quickly became one of the Lakers' biggest scoring threat and an excellent complementary piece to Lonzo Ball.

His impressive season won him a spot on the NBA All-Rookie first team, and he will no longer be ignored by opposing defenses. As Kuzma continues to grow and develop, the endorsement deals will continue to roll in, and there is no doubt this is the first of many.
