Every year, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James seems to drink from the mythical fountain of youth. James responded to a tweet that jokingly mentioned that he is still 26 years old and not 36.

It seems LeBron wants to keep his true age a secret. Kidding aside, James' performance in his 18th season in the NBA has been nothing short of remarkable.

At an age when most players retire or play limited minutes, LeBron is leading the charge for the Lakers to win back-to-back championships. This season, he has been averaging 25.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest.

Despite those impressive numbers, his impact goes beyond the stat line. He makes his teammates better by attracting defenders which allows more open looks.

Los Angeles is in second place in the Western Conference standings with a 21-6 record. Although they hoisted the Larry O'Brien  Trophy last season, one could make the case that they are an even better team this season. New acquisitions Dennis Schröder, Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol, and Wesley Matthews have all played a key part in their success so far.

The Lakers look like the most complete team in the league and are a heavy favorite to repeat. James and his team have a propensity to turn the switch on near and during the playoffs.
