Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and Golden State Warriors sniper Stephen Curry are not just two of the greatest players to have ever picked up a basketball. The connection between these two all-time greats runs deep, with both men being born in the same city just four years apart.

On Sunday night, Curry came out with one of the most memorable performances in NBA All-Star Game history as he dropped a 50-piece in front of an adoring Cleveland home crowd. After his epic showing, Curry sent a special shoutout for LeBron and the city of Cleveland, which incidentally, showered him with some boos throughout the weekend.

LeBron has responded to Curry's message, as well as his theory about the presence of something mysterious in the water in Akron:

There is no other explanation for the fact that two of the greatest players in league history come from the same (relatively) small town. The only way to rationalize this anomaly is that there has to be something in the water they drink over there. Curry definitely seems to think so, and LeBron just doubled down on the theory.

In all seriousness, though, Curry and LeBron certainly stole the show on Sunday night. Curry drained a record-breaking 16 triples during the game before conceding the spotlight to LeBron, who sank a mind-blowing fadeaway jumper to end the game.

It was indeed an unforgettable weekend, and it would not have been the same without both Stephen Curry and LeBron James in the picture.
