It was a special night for Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry on Sunday as he won the Kobe Bryant MVP Award at the 2022 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, as Team LeBron secured a 163-160 victory. Curry absolutely showed out, scoring 50 points on a mind-boggling 16-of-27 clip from three-point range.

Following the contest, Curry took to Twitter to thank the Cleveland fans for the love (and boos) while also acknowledging LeBron for draining the game-winner:

The Warriors guard showed up and delivered in epic fashion. Curry was sinking logo triples all night long and making it look easy. To be fair, there was zero defense played in the contest but nonetheless, to score 48 points from beyond the arc is impressive in itself and proves just why he's considered the greatest shooter to ever step on the court.

The King, meanwhile, had 24 points and impressed in his home state alongside fellow Ohio boy Curry. LeBron is now 5-0 as team captain in the All-Star Game.

Despite winning his first All-Star Game MVP plum, Curry will be more focused on capturing another piece of hardware with the Warriors in the coming months: The Larry O'Brien Trophy. The Warriors are considered one of the top title contenders, but that will certainly depend on when Draymond Green returns from injury.

The Warriors kick off their second half on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
