LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have gotten to an incredibly slow start to the 2018-19 NBA season. After huge expectations were set for them after the offseason they had, the Lakers have been one of the most disappointing teams this year. Following their loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers now hold a 2-5 record.

One thing that James does not deal well with is losing and the Lakers have done a lot of that to start the season. James made it clear that his patience will not last too terribly long if things continue down the wrong path.

Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints took to Twitter to share a post-game comment from James after the loss to the Timberwolves. He talked about the Lakers' repeated mistakes and how the Lakers have to refrain from continuing them.

James did everything he could to help power the Lakers against Minnesota. He scored 29 points on 11-for-23 shooting and also chipped in 10 rebounds and eight assists. Unfortunately, the Lakers' lack of defense and his teammates were unable to help him lift the team to a big win.

Brandon Ingram scored 24 points in support of James, with Kyle Kuzma also scoring 19. Lonzo Ball struggled once again with just four points on 2-of-6 shooting.

Los Angeles does not look like a serious contender in the Western Conference at this point in the season. There are some excuses that can be made for the slow start, but James likely doesn't want to hear any of them. He is used to greatness and the Lakers have been anything but great through the first seven games.

Looking ahead, the Lakers will face the Dallas Mavericks on October 31st. That should be viewed as a must-win game for the Lakers against a young team that has struggled this season.

Expect to see LeBron James play with extreme aggressiveness against Dallas and for the team to follow his lead.
