Charles Barkley had a unique proposition for LeBron James during Sunday's airing of ā€œInside the NBAā€ on TNT. Knowing that the Lakers have been eliminated from the playoffs, Barkley asked The King to join him on the TNT set as a guest analyst:

ā€œLeBron James, come into the studio,ā€ Barkley said during Sunday's telecast, looking straight into the camera. ā€œYou ain't got nothing to do. The playoffs started yesterday [and] you've got free time.

ā€œI know you have to pick a coach and a general manager,ā€ Barkley joked. ā€œJust put that on the back-burner. I'm begging you, on behalf of Ernie [Johnson], Kenny [Smith] and Shaq [Shaquille O'Neal]. We're gonna put you right here in the middle. We're gonna get you that ā€˜Game of Thrones' chair. And how about this: You can leave at halftime of the second game.ā€

Somewhat surprisingly, James decided to respond to Barkley's request directly. The Akron native sent out a tweet on Monday to acknowledge the offer:

James and the Lakers had high hopes for this campaign, but their goal of competing in the postseason never came to fruition. Instead, Los Angeles finished with 37-45 overall record, which was good for the No. 10 spot in the Western Conference.

Whether or not basketball fans will actually see LeBron James on the TNT set in the near future remains to be seen, but it sounds like there is a certain level of interest from both sides. If he were to make an appearance, the shows ratings, which are already good, would likely go up by a substantial margin.
