Could Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James become an NBA owner one day? Possibly, but he says he has a lot more unfinished business to take care of as a player before he considers venturing into a front-office role:

“We'll see what happens,” said James, per HoopsHype. “I've got a lot more game to play. I've got a lot, a ton more years to play this game and be in a Lakers uniform, so once we get to that point, we'll cross that path, but hopefully I'll be able to sit up here and answer questions as a player for a long time.”

As for whether or not James can imagine himself owning a team? It seems like he could:

“I believe that if I wanted to, I could own a team. I know that I've got so much knowledge in the game that I don't want to, once I stop playing, get away from the game. Obviously, I know I'm gonna be along with my sons, because they're gonna play the game. They're playing the game now. But if I can give back to this league in any way, shape or form and continue to make this league as great as it is today, I would love to.”

The 34-year-old then added that it would “have to be the right fit.”

James is currently in his 16th NBA season and is making his 15th straight All-Star appearance. Thus far in his storied NBA tenure, LeBron has won three NBA championships and has captured four MVP awards.
