Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James sent out some love for the WNBA on Friday, as he took to Twitter to share to the world how he was tuned in to the mathcup between the Las Vegas Aces and the Phoenix Mercury.

James even gave a shoutout to Mercury superstar Diana Taurasi who was unavailable during the contest due to a back injury. The three-time WNBA champion recently underwent back surgery, which will cost her the first three months of the season. Now at 36, Taurasi's recovery will likely take longer than it would have during her younger years, but she is still fully expected to make a full recovery within the season.

Nonetheless, the Mercury still emerged victorious in this one, 86-84, as they improved to a 1-1 record early in the season.

James obviously had some fun taking in all the WNBA action, and it's absolutely great that he has come out to show his support for the league.

LeBron has a lot of time in his hands right now, as this is the first time in a very long time that he's on vacation at this point in the NBA season. Having made it all the way to the Finals in all of the past seven seasons, the three-time NBA champion saw his streak end this year following a disappointing first season with the Lakers.

Nevertheless, James will definitely be working hard this summer to ensure that his team is able to make a more meaningful run in the upcoming season.
