The Los Angeles Lakers are once again primed to contend for the NBA title this season. With an All-Star ensemble that would put the cast of Ocean's Eleven to shame, George Clooney, er, LeBron James and company will surely be a headache for many teams.

With a revamped roster, the Lakers are using the preseason games as a gauge for their chemistry and rotation plans. The team has lost its first three preseason outings, including the latest one against Western Conference rival Golden State Warriors.

LeBron has only suited up once so far and when asked about his attention to preseason games, The King gave a rather smug yet honest answer, saying he cares more about practices (via The Sports Rush).

“All I’m saying, for me, it’s nothing I’m going to learn in preseason at this point in my career, nothing at all. I’m not gonna learn anything, nothing. We’re working our habits and building camaraderie and chemistry on the floor, and that’s always good.”

While there's some truth to LeBron's comments, for sure, other NBA stars who still play in preseason games won't appreciate it. His young teammates might also take it the wrong way, as they're hoping to learn from LBJ as much as they can. The four-time MVP has had a history of rubbing a lot of people the wrong way because of his supreme confidence.

But yeah, entering his 18th season, LeBron James has seen it all. Besides, he needs all the rest he can get before diving into another campaign. He was having an MVP-type stint last season before he got derailed by injuries.
