Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the face of the NBA, and as such, people usually listen when he has something to say. LeBron's recent sentiments have understandably been about the racial injustices that plague the nation today, with the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police sparking outrage across the country.

James is sick of it. He posed a rhetorical question on his Twitter account asking why America has so much hate for the black community:

Previously, LeBron shared a monologue by renowned talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. The ABC host blatantly called out United States President Donald Trump for the role he has played in all this. According to Kimmel, not only has President Trump been unable to resolve the problem at hand, but he is also making it worse. Kimmel also showed a very powerful video at the end of his speech, which hit home for LeBron:

The Lakers star has been a vocal critic of President Trump. Kimmel clearly stated during his monologue that he thinks America must act to “vote out” President Trump, and it appears that James is in full support of Kimmel's proposition here.

This whole issue is not going away soon, and it's important that the most prominent members of the NBA community make their voices heard. After all, there are some things that are much bigger than basketball.
