The fact that the Golden State Warriors have won three NBA titles in the past four years should strike significant fear in the hearts and minds of their opponents. However, this is definitely not the case for Los Angeles Lakers president Magic Johnson.

The 59-year-old Hall of Famer is simply not sweating the Warriors, and states that he is able to get a good night's sleep without having to worry about the defending champions.

“I'm a competitor, so I'm not scared of Golden State,” Johnson boldly claimed on a recent guesting on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, via Jack Maloney of CBS Sports. “I'm not worried about Golden State. They don't keep me up at night.

Johnson's confidence lies in the team that he has helped assemble. He has faith in the Lakers' young core and believes that the injection of a winning mentality will take them to the next level.

“I know we have a really solid team, a good team, a competitive team, and a tough-minded team,” added Johnson. “And we've got guys now who are winners. LeBron James brings a championship mentality to our team. So does Rondo; he's won a championship with Boston. And then JaVale McGee, who used to play for Golden State, he's won two championships.”

Johnson's beliefs are definitely reassuring for the Lakers faithful. Nevertheless, the Warriors are a class above everybody else in the league right now, and toppling this regime will be a gargantuan task for Magic and his Lakers.
