The Los Angeles Lakers couldn't be in worse shape right now. They're six games under .500 at 27-33 and in ninth place in the West. Even worse, LA is going to be without star big man Anthony Davis for another four weeks due to a foot injury.

Things have got to a point where the Lakers are exchanging choice words with their own fans and were even booed out of Crypto.com Arena the other night in a blowout loss to the Pelicans. Nevertheless, there is one man who still believes Los Angeles can go all the way this season: Metta World Peace.

Talk about a bold tweet from the former Laker. While the comments were flooding with backlash, World Peace evidently thinks LeBron can take the Lakers all the way still. However, it is very hard to imagine this happening. Are they really going to get by the Phoenix Suns or Golden State Warriors, two much more complete teams? Likely not.

LA struggles to defend and lacks chemistry on the offensive side of the ball. Russell Westbrook is playing at an all-time low level currently as well. LeBron is essentially being left to carry the load all of his own, especially with AD sidelined. While The King is undoubtedly special, he needs help in order to bring another championship to the city.

The Lakers will likely make the playoffs but it's hard to imagine them even getting past the first round unless they suddenly turn things around and start beating contenders. The only way that'll happen though is with a healthy squad.
