Things got a little bit feisty early in the match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. Montrezl Harrell and OG Anunoby were involved in a heated scuffle which resulted in an early shower for both players.

Here's how the incident went down (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

It all started when Lakers guard Dennis Schroder went in on a hard foul on Anunoby. The Raptors man clearly did not appreciate the challenge and appeared to have slammed Schroder down to the ground after the play. Harrell came rushing in to the aid of his teammate, which led to players from both sides getting involved in the scuffle.

This eventually resulted in Anunoby and Harrell getting ejected from the contest:

There was a lot riding for both teams in this contest, and the intensity of the game speaks volumes of how the players were pretty much on edge as early as the first quarter.

The Lakers have been struggling mightily in the absence of their two superstars in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They've lost six out of their last 10 games and are slipping down in the standings in the West.

For their part, the Raptors have won both of their games in March following a horrible month of February. Entering Tuesday's tilt against the defending champs, Toronto remained four and a half games outside the playoffs picture in the East.

It remains to be seen if Anunoby and Harrell will be suspended and/or fined for their actions on Tuesday night.
