After a first-round exit, there is a good chance Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder moves on this offseason, with many linking him to the head coaching vacancy with the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, it appears the belief around the league and sources close to Snyder is that LA isn't a desirable landing spot for him. Instead, taking over the San Antonio Spurs eventually could be more realistic.

Via Bleacher Report:

The rampant speculation about his future has stemmed from the coach's rebuffing Utah's offers to extend him prior to this season. And while the Lakers are known to have strong interest in Snyder, pessimism persists around the NBA and several sources familiar with Snyder's thinking that Los Angeles does not present an attractive landing spot for the veteran coach. He is more often linked as a possible eventual replacement for Gregg Popovich in San Antonio.

The Lakers are keeping tabs on a number of different coaches, including Doc Rivers, Mark Jackson, Mike Brown, and even Nick Nurse, although he shut down the rumors on Monday. Snyder's experience would certainly be a plus for this high-profile job, but the veteran boss seems like he wants to steer clear of Southern California.

As noted, Snyder didn't sign an extension with the Jazz last summer. That being said, don't expect to see him in Salt Lake City long-term, especially when other opportunities arise. But, LA probably won't be the one he'll take.
