It's clear that Russell Westbrook is still adjusting to his new situation with the Los Angeles Lakers. The prolific playmaker has had a mediocre stint so far for the Purple & Gold, prompting some fans to already express concerns.

Westbrook had a turnover-filled debut for the Lakers in the preseason and followed it up with a more decent showing, but still below par for the former MVP and triple-double factory. He, however, has also been known to be an error-prone guy given his high usage rate. But for Lakers coach Frank Vogel, he chooses to see the positive side despite Westbrook's lethargic start (via Lakers Daily).

“He's trying, you know what I mean? He's trying hard to distribute.”

It would seem that with the star-studded Lakers, Westbrook won't have the same productivity he had in his previous stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Washington Wizards. With a slew of other high usage guys on the roster, the high-flying guard will have to cough up the ball more.

That's exactly what he's been trying to do so far, according to Vogel. Besides, Westbrook isn't exactly new to playing with ball-heavy teammates as he's played with Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Bradley Beal. Also, LeBron James has always been willing to share the rock so dealing with it with the Lakers shouldn't be too difficult for Westbrook.

The Lakers will have a preseason rematch with the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
