Team chemistry is perhaps the biggest concern for the Los Angeles Lakers and their new-look squad entering the new season. The arrival of Russell Westbrook, in particular, could potentially complicate LA's backcourt duties with LeBron James still expected to be the Lakers' primary ball-handler.

In his mind, though, Westbrook himself has no doubt that he's going to be a great fit alongside LeBron and the rest of the Lakers squad. Russ knows the role he's going to have to play for his new team and it looks like he's ready to set his ego aside:

“Bron is one of the best players to play this game, and his ability to be able to kinda do everything on the floor allows me to be able to just figure it out,” Westbrook said in a press conference on Tuesday, via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints. “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team, and my job is to make sure that I’m able to make his game easy for him, and I’ll find ways to do that throughout the game. As it pertains to ball-handling and all that, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands, and I’ve been able to do that for many years, and we’ll figure it out.”

There's no denying that Westbrook and LeBron are two of the most ball-dominant players in the NBA today. On paper, playing them alongside each other could definitely lead to disaster. However, as he so clearly stated above, Westbrook understands what he needs to do for the Lakers in order for them to succeed.

It's not going to be a walk in the part for LA this coming season, but with the right mindset in place, the sky is the limit for this star-studded squad.
