Did Talen Horton-Tucker just throw some shade on Dallas Mavericks icon Dirk Nowitzki? Most probably not but we'll go with it anyway.

The Los Angeles Lakers swingman channeled his inner Dirk on Thursday with a flawless one-foot fadeaway against the Mavericks on Thursday. To add some salt to the wound, Horton-Tucker did it in Nowitzki's home arena, the American Airlines Center.

But for sure, this is something that the former NBA MVP would be proud of.

That was smooth as butter for Horton-Tucker but Nowitzki would've probably wanted Josh Richardson to lock him up better. Not on Dirk's floor, J-Rich!

In all fairness, that was good defense that was simply outmatched by great offense from Horton-Tucker. THT has been in and out of the Lakers' starting lineup this season but has definitely earned his minutes. The former South Bay Lakers standout has proved to coach Frank Vogel that he's a true bucket-getter, which the Lakers have needed a ton of given that they're still without four-time MVP LeBron James.

Before facing the Mavericks, the 20-year-old Talen Horton-Tucker was coming off a career-high 24 points against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Now, it seems that the Chicago native brought some extra heat to Texas as he continues to pour in the points for the Purple and Gold.
