The Los Angeles Lakers have recently been on somewhat of a roll, having won their past two games, and climbing back to .500 for the season. Through 10 games so far, it has been very clear that they have embraced the youth movement, and only having Brook Lopez part of their rotation who’s aged 30 years or older. That said, it’s no secret that the team is looking to move one of their highest-paid players, Luol Deng, and they are reportedly continuing to find a trade partner interested in his services.

It has been reported recently that the Lakers have not given up on finding a solution for the 32-year-old Duke product, with the help of his agent, in order to give him the opportunity to play for another team and become a contributor once again.

Luol Deng has only seen action in one game this season, and has since been relegated to the bench. However, he has remained professional, and continues to practice with the team, even acting as the veteran mentor to the Lakers’ young guns.

With career averages of 15.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in his 13 seasons in the NBA, Luol Deng could be a solid pickup for a contender looking to bolster their forward rotation. The only problem is he is still owed $36 million over the next two seasons, which will be a very huge amount to absorb for a team. It’s still unclear what the future holds for the Sudan native, but if the Lakers still won’t find a taker for him, a buyout could also be agreed on by both parties.
