Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is the most popular basketball player in the world. However, there are a handful of NBA fans who don't like LeBron for whatever reason.
James' popularity took a dip after he left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010, but The King was able to regain a lot of fans after going back to the Cavs and winning a championship in 2016 over the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.
Still, LeBron seems to get a lot of unnecessary hate, and his former teammate Iman Shumpert knows why:

The only mistake you can really say LeBron has made in his career was “The Decision,” even though the show benefited the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
James is universally recognized as the second-best player in NBA history behind only Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. The one blemish on LeBron's résumé is his 3-6 Finals record, but when you play in nine NBA Finals, you are bound to lose a few.
This season with the Lakers prior to play being suspended, LeBron James was having yet another MVP-caliber campaign. The Lakers superstar was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.
The Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference standings. The NBA would like to resume the season in the summer, but it's unknown if that can happen since the coronavirus is spreading like crazy.
