Nike has put up two enormous billboards of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James in downtown L.A. James signed a four-year deal with the Lakers in July, and the four-time league MVP is now the biggest attraction in the City of Angels.

The good thing about these billboards is that they are too high up for fans to vandalize. When James initially signed with the Lakers, a local artist in Los Angeles painted a few murals of James, and some Laker fans vandalized them. The motive was unclear, but it's been assumed the people who ruined the artwork were fans of Kobe Bryant. Some of the fans took exception to the fact that one of the murals said “LeBron is the King of L.A.”
LeBron James is the most recognizable athlete in the world, and now he's playing in the biggest media market. James has never had an issue promoting his brand in Cleveland and Miami, but his profits are likely going to reach a new level now that he's in Los Angeles and playing for the Lakers.
One of the main reasons James signed with the Lakers is because he wants to bring the franchise back to prominence. The Lakers haven't made the playoffs since 2013 and have endured five-straight losing seasons.
