The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly not considered a frontrunner to land any of the NBA's top free agents this summer.

There have already been plenty of rumors regarding the potential destinations of players like Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, and Kyrie Irving, and there are some spots that make more sense than others.

Of course, the Lakers are one of the teams that many believed would have a great chance to lure one of the best free agent options as the franchise tries to build around LeBron James.

However, that may not be the case as the team isn't in the running for some of the aforementioned players, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

With the way things unfolded with the Lakers this season, it's would make sense why there could be better fits elsewhere for some of these elite talents.

But it still feels like Los Angeles is going to find its way into the mix, as it's clear that the team is going to make a hard push to land Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans.

If the Lakers can do that while also picking up a key free agent, it would help Lakers fans feel a lot better about next season.

Durant's injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals could certainly change the free agency approach of several teams around the league, and that could be the situation for the Lakers if they can't bring Davis to Los Angeles.
