Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, called owner Jeanie Buss to clear the air over the Anthony Davis trade drama, according to Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report.

Buss was under the impression that Paul was the one who leaked the Lakers' trade interest in Davis to the media.

Once the leaks happened, the Lakers' roster was pretty much broken up since everyone on the team knew LeBron, Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka were shopping them for Davis.

Buss was so irate she reportedly contemplated trading LeBron James. Once Rich Paul found out, he called Buss to patch things up.

The idea of terminating the franchise's relationship with Paul by moving James at least crossed Buss' mind, the team source said, and Paul was made aware of that. That prompted Paul to reach out to Buss to clear the air, and whatever ill will existed supposedly dissipated. At the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference a few weeks later, Buss blamed the media for making the rumors public.

The Lakers pretty much made their whole roster available in the Anthony Davis trade talks except for LeBron James.

The morale of the team went down the drain even after the deadline passed and a deal wasn't made.

Los Angeles is expected to try and trade for Davis again this summer.
