After what was a truly disappointing debut season for the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook isn't exactly the most well-loved individual in LA right now. Rumors of a possible exit from the Lakers have been running rife for the former league MVP, but by the looks of it, the LA is going to be hard-pressed in trying to find a good deal for Russ.

According to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, there just isn't too much interest in Westbrook in the market right now — and for good reason:

To other teams, Westbrook represented a one-year problem on the books as a way to erase long-term commitments to other players. Some scouts and executives around the league don’t view Westbrook as a useful player at this stage, especially with a nearly $50 million price tag.

At the moment, Westbrook has one more year on his current deal. He has a player option to pick up the $47.1 million he's guaranteed for next season which is clearly a no-brainer for the nine-time All-Star. This is, without a doubt, the biggest stumbling block for any team that might have some interest in trading for Russ. Based on this notion alone, it is looking likely that the Lakers and Westbrook are going to be stuck with each other next season.
