Imagine how everyday life must be for Danny Ainge with the NBA Draft nearing by the day.

With the Celtics owning the luxury of having first dibs on a talented pool of draft hopefuls by virtue of their number one overall pick, other teams have not stopped at doing their due diligence in hopes of prying away Boston’s selection in a trade.

One of those teams is none other than good old rival Los Angeles, owner of the second overall pick. After getting a first-hand glimpse of Markelle Fultz, the Hollywood team reportedly came away extremely impressed after his workout.

However, if Fultz is really that good, then their chances of landing him at number two is very slim. As such, DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony is reporting that the Lakers may be preparing to offer their second pick along with Julius Randle.

Now this speaks tremendously of Markelle Fultz as anyone among Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, or De’Aaron Fox, among others, could very well turn out as stars in the future. Any of these names aren’t bad of a consolation for swapping the number one and two picks.

Packaged with someone like, Julius Randle, who is coming off a very strong season, then there must be something in the former Washington Huskie that has gotten Magic Johnson off his executive chair.

It’s not going to be easy for suitors as Danny Ainge is known to squeeze everything that he can out of teams in trade discussions that they oftentimes move away. Certainly, no one wants to become the next Brooklyn Nets, don’t they?
