Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis was merely trying to explain the rationale behind signing his new five-year, $190 million deal with the team. His daughter had other plans.

Davis hoped on a Zoom interview with Spectrum SportsNet to discuss the new deal and his excitement at donning the Purple and Gold for years to come.

The interview began pretty typically, at least until Davis' daughter, Nala, realized what was happening. Nala adorably interjected with “Daddy! Do the video!”

Spectrum host Chris Geeter McGee played along quite well, joking “There's your agent right there!”

Nala might as well have been her father's agent during this negotiating period.

The Lakers were essentially going to bend to Davis' will, whatever he decided. Of course, L.A. was hoping he would ink a long-term deal. But it was certainly not going to push the envelope. Fortunately for Rob Pelinka and Co., Davis opted for the five-year deal, anyway.

Davis' real agent–Rich Paul of Klutch Sports–has been quite busy this offseason, especially as it pertains to the Lakers.

Paul helped Kentavious Caldwell-Pope get a three-year, $40 million deal to return to the team. He orchestrated a contract extension for LeBron James, then followed by helping Davis sign the new deal.

The Lakers will hope the partnership of James and Davis will help deliver multiple titles over the next few years. Los Angeles made a number of moves to reshape the roster in an effort to repeat this season, but LeBron and AD are at the epicenter.
